Architecture

I worked full time for an Architectural Firm right out of college for about 3 years. They specialized in Private County Club Architecture. In that time I learned how to assemble drawings sets, wood and metal construction methods, commercial codes, and by the end, I was heavily involved in construction administration on two clubhouses. It was an invaluable experience that gave me enough confidence to pursue my dream of doing residential architecture everyday.

Every homeowner has their dream home in mind when they are considering a renovation! That can be anything from a Craftsman Style home or a Rustic Modern Renovation. It is my job to bring that dream to reality through visualization.

Have you ever asked yourself, " I want to do something with our house, but I have no idea where to start?" or "I have lots of ideas, but how do I put it all together?" I specialize in putting it all together before your decide to take the journey of renovation! No stress, no official commitment, just all the fun!

Full Exterior Remodel with a modest budget. This home was in dire need of some curb appeal. They gave me full range of design. I added simple details to enhance the character of the home, complete with two dormers and a gable over the garage. I decided to paint the older style brick a fresh neutral and add shake siding to complement its very natural mountain lot.

Full Exterior Remodel with all Board & Batten Siding. This couple wanted a farmhouse look to match their gorgeous farm property. I decided to go with a creamy color scheme with natural stone and wood stains for a touch of elegance.

Kitchen Remodel Visualization
This client wanted to update her kitchen in a fresh and inviting way. There were a lot of awkward spaces in her kitchen, like seeing the laundry room while eating breakfast. I added ceiling height cabinets and rearranged the layout to not only be more inviting, but user friendly.
We removed the wall between the columns to allow for more flow between the kitchen and the living room.

This client was looking for a rustic cottage style update to her home. She had all the ideas, I just put them to paper for her. Except, I added the arched portico and arched bracket to compliment the carriage style garage doors. It also softens the facade and makes it a great feature for curb appeal.

These clients really wanted a full remodel. Complete with a garage addition, a new screen porch, and a new deck area. They requested a Modern Mountain Retreat look. We tried several different designs to fit their taste and this was the last one they decided on.
We added a garage addition to the back side and extended the roof line to give them a back porch with stained columns and decorative brackets.

This family requested new floor plan ideas from the floor plan they purchased from the builder. Their requests were for a better kitchen, master bath, and foyer layout. I adjusted the floor plan to match their needs in the best possible way with a few bonuses. They also requested to have more a Craftsman style exterior to give the home more curb appeal and character.

This was a very unique client with a contemporary home challenge. Her taste was very traditional, but she wanted to maintain the interesting nature of the facade. The first problem we had to address what the cedar siding. They wanted to replace all of their cedar siding with fiber cement siding, which now a days has limitations on how long the boards are. They loved the new design because it kept the unique character while allowing them to upgrade to fiber cement siding.

Stucco is a very common siding material used all over Georgia and most homeowners know the challenges that come with a stucco facade. This is one of the many stucco remodel designs I've done.

Although this couple did not want a full exterior facelift, it was important to them to be able to see what new paint and a new portico looked like on the facade of their home.
